At Open Book Therapies, Our mission is to support you in navigating your personal journey and to gain clarity, build resilience, and start fostering healthy coping skills to lead a fulfilling life. We serve adults navigating life transitions, mental health challenges, relationship issues, as well as those with a trauma history. We are a local therapy business based in the rural community of Diamond Valley, Alberta where we strive to ensure rural communities receive the mental health services they need.
Open Book Therapies is grounded in evidence-based and client-centered approaches where we recognize the expertise you have in your own life and facilitate the journey to self-healing. Together, we turn the pages of your life and allow you to explore your past, understand your present, and re-write a future full of possibilities.
We foster an environment of openness, where clients feel free to express themselves authentically and explore their emotions without fear of judgement. We value transparency, active listening, and a willingness to explore new possibilities for healing.
We hold ourselves to the highest standards of professional ethics and integrity, ensuring that each client’s care is respectful, confidential, and transparent.
We help our clients develop the skills and confidence they need to overcome challenges and create lasting, positive change in their lives.
We provide a space that is flexible and willing to accept differing viewpoints. We consistently evolve with new information and perspectives in therapy.
Open Book Therapies acknowledges that we are on the traditional lands of the people of the Treaty 7 region of Southern Alberta, home of the Dene of Tsuu T’ina First Nations, the Metis Nation Region 3, Blackfoot Confederacy members, Siksika, Piikani, and the Kainai First Nations, the Stoney Nakoda of Bearspaw, Chiniki and Wesley First Nations, who cared for and lived on these lands for many generations. We commit to honouring the diverse cultures, histories, and traditions that have shaped this place and learn from the teachings of Indigenous communities.
